Happenings: Peter Speake-Marin To Lecture At The Horological Society Of New York
At the January 9, 2018, meeting of the Horological Society of New York (HSNY), British watchmaker Peter Speake-Marin will introduce his new stage for watchmaking training, The Naked Watchmaker . The stage originates from Speake-Marin’s time as a curator horologist in London dealing with antique pocket fake watch prices and vintage wristwatches. About Peter Speake-Marin
Peter Speake-Marin, brought into the world in 1968 in Essex, England, left school at 17 and found horology. Speake-Marin’s watchmaking profession has addressed each section of the watchmaking business, from the antique universe of rebuilding to present day complications, from being an expert, to creating brands. His last fantasy about sharing his adoration for watchmaking (current and vintage, easy to complex) was rarely acknowledged, until now with the dispatch of The Naked Watchmaker platform.
