Introducing: The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Perpetual Calendar
A few days, we’ll be making a beeline for Geneva for the SIHH, yet effectively a considerable lot of the new fake watch prices are beginning to hit our inboxes. Their press delivers, that is. Not genuine watches.
Here we have a perpetual-calendar rendition of the Girard-Perregaux Laureato presented in treated steel. All the obvious components of the Laureato are there – the incorporated arm band, the octogonal bezel, and the clous de Paris dial. This fake watch prices notwithstanding, adds GP’s perpetual calendar development to the equation.
The show itself shuns the more commonly seen even formats regularly reserved for this kind of complication for one that appears to be a touch more restless and present day, and I think it functions admirably with the Laureato plan. The day of the week is shown in a sundial at nine o’clock, the date is somewhere in the range of 1 and 2, and the jump year show is settled right over a window that opens onto a plate to show the months.
The Laureato has for quite some time been seen by gatherers as Girard-Perregaux’s response to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, to the Patek Philippe Nautilus, and to Vacheron Constantin’s Overseas, all of which at present offer perpetual calendar models. Presently we can add Girard-Perregaux’s Laureato to that list.
